I am a photographer living on the east of England with a background in traditional photographic representations of wildlife and landscape, though recently I have begun to investigate different ways of representing the world. My work is often inspired by wilderness and the natural world which I explore by walking. Although I enjoy photographing the wilderness of wide-open spaces, I often concentrate on wilderness on a much smaller scale: woodland footpaths or the way an old brick wall is reclaimed by the wild, a more intimate landscape. I enjoy portraying the world around me in abstract ways as well as expressing the beauty of nature in a more traditional manner. I enjoy travel and visiting cities; photographing cityscapes and the people within them.
